All schools in the City of Charlottesville and all but three in Albemarle County are fully accredited. That’s based on Standards of Learning testing during the last academic year. Red Hill, Scottsville and Yancey elementary schools were the the exception in Albemarle. That means they did not meet the state benchmark in one or more SOL test categories. County school officials say they’ll take a close look at the results and update improvement plans to raise the performance on those SOLs next year.
