There’s welcome news for Albemarle County teachers and general county employees. The Board of Supervisors and the County School Board expect to raise salaries by an average of 2% in the next fiscal year. School Superintendent Pam Moran (pictured) says the two boards have also made a decison about disability insurance. They will opt out of a program managed by the Virginia Retirement System. The City School Board has made the same choice.
