Despite the weather problems across the U.S., air travel is expected to increase dramatically during this Thanksgiving time period compared to last year. John Heimlich of the group Airlines For America says the number of passengers traveling through Monday is expected to be up by 31,000 this year. Heimlich says planes are expected to be 85% full on the busiest travel days of Wednesday and Sunday. Tammy Gobert of AAA says the cost of flying is up this year. Gobert says no matter what time of year you’re traveling, book way ahead to get the best deal. Gobert says the target is at least 21 days in advance.
