An insurance company is suing George Huguely. The onetime University of Virginia student-athlete is being sued by American International Group Inc. because he won’t answer questions from insurance investigators about the death of Yeardley Love. In a court filing Monday, the company says Huguely declined requests for questioning under oath. The company wants to be released from defending Huguely of paying damages in a wrongful-death lawsuit brought by the Love family. AIG filed suit in federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland. It says Huguely’s refusal to cooperate constitutes a breach of contract under his family’s homeowners’ policy. Huguely was convicted in 2010 of second-degree murder of Yeardley Love.
