A statewide group that goes to bat for gun owners is predicting city councilors won’t get an item on their latest wish list. The council is hoping the 2014 General Assembly will give Charlottesville the right to enact gun-control measures. Phillip Van Cleave (pictured) of the Virginia Citizens Defense League believes this type of legislation won’t get out of a House of Delegates committee.
