Sheriff Says DNA Ruling Will Prevent Crime

A leader in creating the state DNA databank is pleased with the recent Supreme Court ruling. The high court ruled that officers are allowed to collect a DNA sample in misdemeanor arrests. Albemarle Sheriff Chip Harding says expanding DNA evidence prevents crime. He cites the example of the Charlottesville serial rapist. DNA databanks are in 28 states. Harding wants every state to have one.
