Develop the skills and craft that will turn your vision for a film into a screenplay. In the first half of each class, we will analyze the structure, plotting, characters, perspective, and other script elements of a well-known Hollywood film. In the second half, the class and instructor will critique students’ story outlines, character studies, script pages, and other materials they have prepared for class. Syd Field’s legendaryScreenplay will be required reading (available at WriterHouse).

Jonathan Rintels has written nine produced films for television and an episode of “Law and Order” and recently published his first novel, Lifemobile. He has been a member of the Writers Guild of America for three decades. His complete credits can be found on IMDB.com.
