Rural Health Initiative Program Health Education Series Classes

Tuesday, December 8th 2015 - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
at American Legion Post 74
3025 Louisa Road

All classes are FREE, start at 11am and are taught by the Rural Health Educators. Spouses and caregivers are invited to attend.

Mission: The mission of the Rural Health Initiative Program is to improve access to care and enhance quality of care for rural veterans.  The Health Education section wants to improve your access to health education and wellness information by bringing educational classes to your community at your convenience.

Why: Access to health services in rural and underserved areas creates barriers to healthcare. Less than 15,000 Veterans living in rural Virginia are currently enrolled for VA benefits and services. This initiative aims to improve access by taking services to the rural communities.
